Curtains/blinds for patio door

Hi all, I am looking to get curtains or blinds for the patio door in my kitchen. Our house is really badly designed and the only feasible place for the kitchen bin to go is to the side of the patio doors (or else have to carry all your kitchen waste all the way across the room). This means that conventional curtains are out, as it would result in the bin being right up against one side of the curtains and no doubt getting the curtains destroyed.

I was wondering if there was any alternative, is there such a thing as a door curtain that would hang to one side when open? Or what about these sliding blinds, has anyone had these installed in their house?

I really don’t want to go down the vertical blind route, as I think they look very officey. We are also on a budget, would like to spend no more than €200. Thanks in advance!

I think Ikea do sliding panels as well. I haven't used them but I can't see why they wouldn't work once you have enough space to the side of the doors.
