Posted this over in games but thought it should be here too.

Get 2 free steam games if you sign up to IGN prime, they currently have a 7 day free trial so the games are completly free and you also get some other goodies like access to the tera beta and some bloodline champions loot.

The two free games are Rochard and King Arthur, worth about 25 euro altogether. you also get a code for 15% off for life on any purchase at gamersgate when you join prime, the discount will work even if you dont continue after trial.

    http://my.ign.com/prime/hub

You can cancel your sub right after getting your goodies

yeah but you have to give them your credit card details and then cancel your sub within 7 days which is kind of annoying.

Or use a paypal account to sign up. You can cancel your sub right after you join.

Too annoying for two free games and a lot of other stuff?

My steam account is full of the brim with games with all the sales and humble bundles and freebies and whatnot, honestly couldn't be bothered.

Must have about 100 games on steam now.

Lol, Remember growing up with the SNES the max games I ever had was 8 I think.

    Hi all ,

    I just got my 2 free games :D , using paypal .

To cancel the Prime account , I went into manage account , and disabled "auto renew"

Is that all I have to do to cancel the account ?

    Thanks

    Edit -

Is there a way to check upcoming/recurring payments with paypal ?

Pretty sure that you can see what you've pre-authorised in your paypal a/c. Not sure how but when I did the pre-authorisation it said something about it.

    It's ok ,

I just got an email from IGN confirming that I've cancelled .

I also found the upcoming payments section on Paypal's site , and cancelled any upcoming payments from IGN , just in case .

With Paypal , click on "My Account" , "Overview" then click on "Profile" , then "My Money " and your pre-approved payments are shown when you click "Update" on the right side of the page .

Thanks for that OP. Downloaded the games and cancelled the account and paypal subscription.

Slightly OT but did anyone get some crazy AVG threat detected warning when trying to play Rochard on Steam?

Yeah, I did. It read: 'This game is seriously awesome and addictive, are you sure you wanna continue?' :D

Ha ha... Thanks for the replies. I don't know what happened.. AVG deleted the file so I'll probably have to download again when I get home from work. Probably just a glitch.
