Anyone know what the 3DS Ambassador NES game updates do?

There were updates recently for the 3DS NES Roms, which didn't specify what they did; I was wondering if anyone knew?

I had a look online, and could only find articles in the early lifespan of the 3DS promising "extra features added via update in the future" to the Ambassador ROMs, but there aren't any "patch notes" for THESE updates as far as I can see.

Didn't realise the updates were out yet.
Supposedly they give the ability to save in various locations, online scores and that type of thing.

I heard that the update adds in the Computer Warrior "real life code" but the Warlord asked me not to talk about it, so you didn't hear it from me, right?

    Source?

The only evidence I've been able to find that this is the case is various third party articles, published when the "Ambassador" program was first announced. Along the lines of "Sometimes in the distance future, multiplayer will be added in via an update".

    Nothing recent, nothing from Nintendo.

They are just updates for bugs in some games, not for all of the NES games. Some updates for Pulblox and other eshop games also.
This happend about a month ago.

The updates are not found in the Update section on the eshop, it is another section, I will find the link for you guys that says where it is.

EDIT: ok I cant find the details right now, and dont have my 3ds infront of me either, but what I remember is, go into settings and go into one of the tabs there to find the little updates, but these updates are NOT in the tab that says Updates Available for some reason. Pretty stupid on Nintys part TBH.

But just to say it again, these updates are not important, they have nothing to do with updating the NES games to have save states. Its just a bug fix for some of the games.

The updates for the NES games will come out as the NES games are Released to the eshop for sale.

For anyone who was curious, the updates added a "Nes console" icon to the game's thumbnail, and more importantly a "Game restore point" to NES games.

So basically you can have one active save state slot, that you can keep static separate from your actual progress, and the "Virtual console resume" feature, which lets you pick up your game whereever you were when you stopped.

    Cool features.
