What flavours do they have - just Margherita and Peperoni and are they in the frozen or chilled section?

Prices of pizza in Ireland is extortionate :(

Unless they're much bigger than they look from here I'd be surprised if that wasn't a mistake.

Pepperoni one is listed as 275kcal per half pizza, so I'm guessing (hoping!) an extra 0 added on in error.

Edit: Had a look at the box, it's 275kcal per 100g apparently!

Are these Tesco own brand, or someone else?

Btw I'd imagine it was 4,400 kilojoules which is just over 1,000 calories

They are a crowd called "The Pizza Company", English.

A mate of mine texted me to say he was in Tesco Wexford this a.m. and got this deal, his receipt was like

    Pepperoni PZA 4.19
    Margherita PZA
    2 @ 4.19 8.38

Then the discount was as follows -

    Buy 1 get 2 free -8.58 !!!!!!!!!!!!!

    :)

Got these today in Tesco Midleton, had picked up 2 for 4€ goodfellas but put them back for this deal.

Is this an actual deal or a pricing error?

An actual deal. Most can't believe it you buy one for €4.19 you get two extra free - €4.19/3 = €1.40 a pizza - BINGO !

They also made a mistake in the on till receipt reduction by the sounds of it. Which brought the actual price down to €1.33 PER PIZZA !

Or if jayteecork read my post correctly :rolleyes:

They'd see that 1. it was a friend of mine and 2. it was Tesco that made the mistake

General averages, some will be more, some will be less depending on how heavy you load the toppings and also the thickness of the base, just an indication really

    I bought this offer today.
I won't be scanning the receipt but here is what it details:

    Margherita Pza 4.19
    Pepperoni Pza 4.19
    Pepperoni Pza 4.19

Buy 1 Get 2 Free 8.58 (not 8.38 as you would have expected)

    Total cost of 3 Pizzas = €12.57
    Less €8.58 discount
Total cost for 3 pizzas is €3.99 or €1.33 each.

    My point corroborated.

What Tesco was that in as it must be like that in them all if it wasn't the Tesco store in Wexford, although the OP didn't get the extra discount so maybe it's not in all Tesco stores, still though it's an even better Bargain Alert?

It's a very good deal, well done OP.

    None here in Clonmel.

Might be a limited release sort of thing.

Thanks OP, got a set of these Y'day in Tesco Ballybeg, there were plenty of these about then. €8.58 was discounted too. Can't understand where this thread went - first time I've ever heard of BOGTF and people wittering on about calories and semantics. GREAT BARGAIN ALERT, THANK YOU OP

Picked up some in Ardkeen myself. Loads of both types left on the shelves. Havent eaten one yet but they look very nice and dont appear to be scarce on the topping like a lot of pre-packaged pizzas.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,281 ✭✭✭Ricky91t

Noticed today there was more stock of both in Wilton.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 16,096 ✭✭✭✭the groutch

better be some left when I go to my local tomorrow, or there'll be ructions

Offer ends the 14th feb. Picked some up in Midleton earlier as Mahon didn't have them. Having one now (Margherita with my own extra toppings) and the verdict is that the base is a little too spongey for my liking but they are ok for the price

Got these today. good price but wasn't a fan of the taste. Probably won't buy them again

    Got these Saturday, Tesco Naas.

Not impressed tbh, Dr Oetker much nicer. Wouldn't buy these at full price, that's for sure!
