As the title says, rough idea of value? 60,000 miles, ex English. If I can find anymore info, I will.

    Thanks lads.

Don't want to be too cynical, but did you get a history check done?

Less than 10k miles a year is a bit low for a diesel.

We talking about an E90 or an E46 here?

No, you're cool Paul. It belongs to one of the lads in the job. He has it 3 years, and has only put on about 20,000 since he got it. And he had a full history check done before he bought it, because he'd had his fingers burned on the car he had previous.

It's not me who's buying it, just tryna get impartial prices, because I think he's looking for a bit too much for it.

    And it's an E46.

    It should be worth €6,500 - €7,000

    BUT

It's got that dreaded 2-litre tax which is scaring away the market.

    And it's an E46.

I'd say 6.5K or so if its a nice enough spec, say 6K if its a standard enough car. I'd be hoping for a bit more if I was selling but they would be the min amounts for me. I have a Nov 04 myself and I'd hope to get close to 6K if I was selling. The E90s are starting to show up around 8K up now.

Genuine low mileage ones are hard to find now and if its tidy it's a nice car.
Good few on donedeal for around 5k but they all have 150k miles on them.

I'm not an expert but that would be my take on it.

Believe me, she's mint. And very well minded. Decent spec also. Half leather, usual electrics, M styling pack on her. He's looking for 10k, which probably explains why he's not sold it. I would've though around 8k, given the low mileage.

I've a 318d, a very similar car, for sale for six months now. Nobody wants the 2 litre stuff. I can't even get offers close to €7k for it. (I'm being offered just over €5k)

He hasn't a prayer of getting €10k for it. The newer model, E92, are retailing at €10k, and that's with dealer margin and before any discounts.

Ok if its an MSport I would be thinking 7K ish if its absolutely mint.

Not a prayer of getting anything like 10K, as I said, you can get a good 06 and possibly 07 E90 model for that.

Between €6.5k and €7K is around the max he will get for a 7 year old E46 M Sport. The low mileage will make it more appealing but inevidably will not increase it's value.

Bazz, you're preaching to the choir here. But there's no talking to this lad. He's adamant he'll get it. Or as he says, he's in no rush to sell it.

On the flip side, he's thinking that 20,000 is too much to pay for a 07 ML320. With low mileage also. And even more toys. And a full Merc service history.

Some people just cannot be told or advised, they have to see the light for themselves. He might find a moron willing to pay close to his asking price but I doubt it. I hope he has plenty of space on his driveway to keep it parked up. :D

Sad thing is, he was offered €9,000 for it, but wouldn't take it. Ah well....

I don't know who to stratch my head for, the guy offering €9k or the guy turning it down.

I would use the old saying about a fool and his money, but there must be one about the fool not willing to part the money from the other fool!!!
