Alomost a year waiting for high court expenses. Normal?

Attended a high court PI case last May. Having submitted witness expenses I am still waiting. At the end of last summer the solicitor who summonsed me told me that he also had not been paid and that the expense claims had to go to another court for final say on who gets what etc. Have tried ringing again and again but no…

At the end of last summer the solicitor who summonsed me told me that he also had not been paid and that the expense claims had to go to another court for final say on who gets what etc.

Have tried ringing again and again but no return calls.

I have also learned that the claimant has received his damages and has paid off whoever he owed (engineers etc)

Does anyone have any idea how (other than the solicitor) that I could find out what the story is as although it's not a huge sum, it's something I thought I would have before now.
