    The link for the old VB search seems to re-direct now to new one as of today

    any ideas?

    the gist:

    "We're switching "old" serach off today. End of an era and all that... We've been talking about this since Ross rolled out our shiny new search last year and have been tweaking and modifying the new search based on your feedback over the months since it's deployment.

    However, the time has come for us to switch old search (which has been slowly killing the site because VBulletin's code was not built with sites as big as ours in mind) and Danny's looking to do that today.

    So goodbye Old Search, we won't miss your taking 2/3 of the RAM in the servers to run, nor will we miss the "oh feck, are we about to fall over" any time it makes a groaning sound"
