Strava.com is good craic for the local 'Segments' and it's free unless you want any of the Premium features (some more in-depth analysis of HRM Data etc).

They have a smartphone app (also free) or you can upload your GPS device data.

I got the mapmyride app on my phone too, it's free and it works well if you just want the route of your spin.
But I lost the run of myself last week and bought the Garmin Forerunner 405 and it's great fun. It has the heart rate monitor and cadence sensor too so it will record all the data from your spin. I'm more inclined to get out and train with it now.
Anyway, that's just my tuppence worth!

I use both strava and runkeeper, strava for the segments feature and runkeeper because it has loads of features for various activities and integrates with some other websites and apps. If you have a smartphone there's lots of free apps like these available and some have different features, I recommend trying out a few until you get all the features you want (hence why I'm running two apps!)
These trackers can actually be a great motivator I find, especially 'run or else' google that one ;-)
