I'm wondering if anyone can tell me what it means when a case is listed in the High Court as an 'Assessment' - it's a case in relation to personal injuries.

It means that the Defendant admits liability for the accident and that the only issue for the judge to consider is to assess the level of damages to give to the plaintiff.

Does that mean when the case is listed for "assessment only" in the high court,,do you get a court date when it is listed?
Does the case be heard that bit quicker because you do not have to prove liability?
