I'm trying to source this AEG (I think there's a GBB version too) in Ireland and having a difficult time.

I know there was an 'old' VFC 416, that, as far as I know from google, was an unlicensed version but still had trademarks on it but required a PEQ or rewiring to house a battery.

The version I'm after is the 'newer' one, albeit an older airsoft model at this stage (I think it was released some time within the last two years).

    Any help would be appreciated!

I found a link to AirsoftGI on Youtube about the AEG in question.

As far as I know MIA and a Limerick retailer (airsoftguns?) stock Umarex. As there are new/refreshed versions of the 416 due out I'm not sure you will be able to source an older model, and I haven't seen a release date for the new versions yet.

The newer VFC stuff seems to have issues with the gears, most commonly (3 in 5 of the guns I've seen) have had the axle on the sector gear sheer and less commonly (2 in 5) have had the axle sheer. These were all guns with less that 500 rounds put through them, which was worrying. Hopefully it was a bad few batches, but it's not looking too good.

Do you have a link to an article or something on this? I'd love to give it a read! I've no problem waiting for my AEG!

And @Lefty, that is indeed worrying. Having previously owned a VFC AK74N I would be buying the brand for the quality and having things snap after so few rounds is certainly worrying!
