    Hi All.
I am currently looking to pick my wedding band. Herself is getting one to match the engagement ring but I'm looking to get something a little different, like tungsten or Titanium.
The Brushed metal looks appeals to me along with the fact that they're very hard wearing.

My problem is finding places that stock the rings, and that stock a decent selection.
I found one I like in a jewellers the other day but they told me they can't get tungsten engraved :( (which I'd like to have).
I've looked online and most sites do laser engraving when you order the rings, problem is you can't see the ring till it arrives in the post.

Does anyone know of jewellers that carry tungsten/titanium rings in Dublin, and ideally any that can arrange engraving of them ?

Oh if anyone has any experience of these rings can you let me know ?

I have been looking at titanium rings in a jeweler in the powerscourt center on South William st. No idea about engraving, I was warned it couldn't be re-sized and to take that into consideration.

My husband (weird!) got a Tungsten in H. Samuel Dublin - it is heavy! He is really happy with it. Not sure about engraving as he only managed to find it the day before the wedding and was lucky they had his size!

Hi my fiance just ordered his wedding ring online and it just arrived. He was really really happy with it. It is a Tungsten Carbide and the link is below. we were wary of ordering online but at the price we got the ring, it was worth about $700 and we got it for $300 as they have a 10% off the discount price online. He just went to a jeweler and he measured him and it fit perfectly!

What's the average cost of a platinum men's ring? I believe they can be quite expensive because they'd weigh more than the women's rings...

I got a Titanium ring in New York, it's grand. Does the job. My brother in law lost his wedding ring, and bought a titanium one in Argos, does him absolutely fine.

I've been looking into the same, OP, but finding it hard to find anywhere that has a decent selection...think I'm looking for a tungsten carbide one, hard to tell without actually seeing them!
Looks like online is the way to go, if you order in plenty of time there shouldn't be any issues with returning it if there's any probs - as for engraving, I'm not too sure, I'd heard before that they can't be engraved or resized

They can't be engraved. I got my husband's ring online, a titanium one from a UK site. It is perfect and does the job. I don't know how a tungsten carbide ring can cost hundreds though, there are loads on Amazon for about $30, just order the size you need.

From looking online they can be engraved, seems to be laser engraving only.
Getting it online would be a last resort I think, I'd rather be able to try the ring on in a store. Some of the pictures online aren't very true to life.

i got a tungsten carbide ring in z2 (big) for £60 + post
but be aware with a tungsten carvide or titanium ring that they are very hard to cut off if you break or sprain a finger

titanium ring can probably be cut off but it will be hard
in the end i changed to a silver ring cos i was worried
