These are earpieces for listening to the ref on match days during home matches. They cost €10 and I bought one for the Welsh match. I won't be at the next match so if anyone wants my one they can have it. To be honest I found it a bit annoying after a while and turned it off after about 20 mins. I'm in Dublin if anyone wants it.

A pound shop is a generic term for the kind of shop that sells cheap tat, so no

So, can you tune any old radio in? Say the fm radio on your phone? Or is it just shortwave etc

Depends on the stadium and whether it's reflink or reftalk (the providers). The one in Lansdowne is tuneable on an FM radio as it's just 96MHz, but the one in the Millenium Stadium is something crazy like 60MHz so you need the actual radio they sell.

Afaik, it's the same in Twickeham. As you mention it certainly is the case in Cardiff as I got caught for the GS game there.
