I found a course that must be in receipt of Job Seekers Benefit, is JSA enough?

It says on the form, (interested people must be in receipt of JSB or on disability allowance. But now I'm only on Job Seekers Allowance, does that mean I don't qualify for it?

    Thanks.

What kind of course is it? Who is running it?

Cork Academy Of Music, Youth music initiative.

In the description it says. It was founded and has been led until today by the voluntary commitment of Bob Seward and a loyal Board of Management, music teachers and staff.

    here's the link http://www.corkam.com/

I know it's a simple question, I just wanted to know if I would sound like a complete fool over the phone.
And I only realized after the first phone call, I'm planning on ringing back later.

I've been searching but can't find anything to answer your query. If it is for Youth though, it would be strange that a criteria to qualify would be Jobseekers Benefit - something only for people with a work history already. I wouldn't put too much faith in what it says on the form - some lucky people aren't familiar with the difference between JSB and JSA and would refer to them both as benefit. Best phone and ask. Good luck.

Yeah I was thinking the same myself, I typed (must be in receipt of Job Seekers allowance) into google to see similar courses, and the descriptions, pretty much all said, JSA, JSB and any other allowances, so I guess it's fine, and yeah I think if there was a problem they would have changed the description by now.

I'll phone them so, it's just that, talking about JSA is something I'd rather hide away from :o

    Thanks anyway.
