Aftertiming

Apologies for taking a couple of days longer to get around this but I've been busy with uni for the most part plus. I just want to hear general thoughts on this as from what I saw over the weekend, some people still after all this time think it's acceptable to aftertime.

Personally speaking, even pre-moderator days it's something that has bugged me. I know some will ask why, but having for the most part enjoyed this forum I'd like to see it well maintained and find it taking the piss.

So my immediate thought was that aftertiming would be considered a red card offence or week ban... IF no proof(pic) is posted of said bet within 24 hours of the original post. A proper pic, there is one dodgy looking one in the last day or two I saw that doesn't fly by me though I could be horribly wrong on that and if so, my bad. If anyone has any different thoughts please share them here. Perhaps it's a tad harsh my direction but this is what this thread is for.. feedback.

Anyone who aftertimes should be put on Ignore by everyone else! Persona Non Grata.

Keep the after-timing thread, any after-timing whatsoever imo anywhere else on the forum should be a red card.

I agree, no objections from me, alot of after-timing happening lately and it is annoying especially to us regulars who always post our bets before games kick off etc. Then randomers come along and say i had such an such as a winner or I'm only waiting on such a thing for an accumulator to come in but with no proof whatsoever.

After-timing = red card is the only way to sort it out.

I hate reading it in the live betting thread all the time, Fair enough we all do it once in awhile (incl me) but when you see it constantly from the same users its annoyance, ya know

I dont mind these posters at all, I think they are grand but they need to see the error of their ways :D

By the way ade, dont be lying you werent busy at uni, you were busy trying to take the 1st spot off me on Tiger woods. You'll never beat the master.

Is this aimed at me for my youtube video instead of pic?

I don't even know what you're on about tbh. Seen a couple of half arsed pics the other day that looked well dodgy, couldn't even tell you the name(s) of the posters.

Anyway, I'll leave this thread opened till the end of the week. More suggestions are appreciated, thanks to those who have contributed so far.

So it seems like a firmer stance is needed in relation to cards and the like. Grand so. Will edit charter(s) in due course. I think those that are regulars certainly should know better anyway, in that if you after-time, a pic is required very shortly after said post. Newbies a slightly lenient approach will be taken, but a once off warning. I think that's fair.

I'd just ask people to refrain from all jumping on the one person who after-times. A person, maybe two comment on it but it doesn't need many doing it otherwise it's clogging up the thread. As a favour to myself and Pyro, I honestly can stress enough the importance of reporting said posts. It is appreciated if people do this instead spamming PM's which was was something that I was finding more annoying personally. 8 PM's in 4 hour time period is a bit OTT :pac:

Anywhoo, I'll leave the thread opened till around 2pm when I get home and get started on editing the charter.

Tbh if someone is going to aftertime, then they should be in a position to put up a picture straight away.

Just keep it to the aftertiming thread altogether and be done with it?

I'll edit the charter in a little bit.

I dont think having a screen shot in the live betting thread should let you escape an infraction

    Why not?

Its proof that the bet was placed, and the user may not have had time to post up before the game went in-play, i dont see a problem with it personally, they are providing a picture as the charter says, and thats what after-timing is all about, provide a screen shot to prove you placed the bet, so if someone does that i dont see a problem with it. Maybe others including yourself might think different, but i think if the forum starts bringing in more idea like this people wont bother coming on anymore, myself included.

It would be on the road to dictating what a person can and cant post up. Once no forum rules are broken theres issue. No need to impose even more do's and dont's.

I made an epic start today with the PSV match but I dont mention a word of it (in those those tips/livebetting threads) because that is aftertiming and even if I provide an screen shot that is still aftertiming in my eyes

The live betting thread should be only used for live betting, like oh get on ajax etc etc not like im waiting for stoke to put me back in the black

    Thats fair enough :p

Either way i wouldnt be too pushed about it, but i understand your point of view on people saying they need this an that, its still happening with no screen shots, today been notorious for it, I've seen two after-timing posts in the last hour alone.
