I'm trying to create a cd that will play in a standard cd player, from mp3 formatted files. How does one go about this?

Use windows media player and load the files in to that. On the right you should see a tab to create audio cd. Drag the files over to that and burn.

If your trying to convert mp3 back to cd quality sound, ie wav then I don't think that's possible or at least without loosing some of the original quality

I use itunes to do this, import the mp3s to itunes and place them in a playlist. Then just right click the playlist name and select burn to disk

The problem is I don't use windows, or itunes. I'm running linux. But the cd burning software is pretty bog-standard anyway, I don't understand why I"m not achieving a workable solution with pburn.
