    Has anyone figured out how to synch their iPhone/iTouch to receive emails from their @nuigalway account..

    I can only get mine to go on to my hotmail emails. :(

    Did you set it as an Exchange account? That works on my iPhone.

    This is the name of the server I access through;

    amsprd0104.outlook.com

    If yours' is different then I suggest logging in on your computer and replace "amsprd0104" with the one coming up on your address bar. [/BIS student]

    Can also be done through IMAP if your device or client (such as Mozilla Thunderbird) doesn't support MS Exchange:

    IMAP
    Incoming server: pod51002.outlook.com
    SSL on port 993
    Username: <your NUIG email>
    Password: <CASS password>

    SMTP
    Outgoing server: pod51002.outlook.com
    SSL on port 465
    Username: <your NUIG email>
    Password: <CASS password>

    You can also use smtp.gmail.com for SMTP with your Gmail login details :)

    Anybody had success using Sparrow as a client on Mac for student mail?

    I just set up the account so all incoming mail forwards to my gmail account and I was able to send mail from my gmail as my nuigalway.ie account too. Simple, and I avoided ever having to deal with that godawful mess by Microsoft.
