Gmail checker, that works with UCD Mail?

Does one exist, preferably an extension for Chrome? I'm sure it can be done as I can get emails on my phone from UCD using the Android Gmail app, but the few extensions I tried haven't worked.

Why not set up email forwarding to another gmail account and set up your the applications from there. UCD won't share the passwords with gmail so it leaves all external email application in a weird limbo.

Mail Checker Plus - use multiple login, and it monitors any gmail accounts you're logged into.
