The following number of spots up for grabs in April.
Bit tough on some of the lads.
    Barnes (5 spots)
    McDonagh (4 spots)
    Hickey (1 spot)
    Nolan (2 spots)
    Ward (3 spots)
    McCarthy (1 spot)
    Sheehan (2 spots)

Fancy Barnes and Ward to sucure a spot, If McDonagh can avoid Selimov he has a good chance also.

Does anyone know how the Invitational spot is assigned, if their is a British lad already qualified does it still get assigned. Could help the likes of Hickey & Nolan.

Any unused host nation quota spots will be re-allocated to the Tripartite Commision who essentially offer wildcards to unqualified athletes (usually offered to countries that do not have any boxers qualified for the Olympics). So this will likely not benefit our lads. Will be down to whether they do the business in Trabzon. Ward and Barnes are in with a great chance of getting to the Olympics, also have a hunch that Nolan and McDonagh could get through also, but as ever, the draw is crucial.
