    Hi,

I use the twisty type of lens containers. If you twist the top and our spins the lenses around, dislodging any dirt.

I have started buying solution separately, it's just as good and cheaper but doesn't come with cases.

Surely I can just clean the old ones? The opticians say 28 days and then into the bin. I like to think that a bit of boiling water and some fairy liquid would do the trick. Shure, they'd be clean as whistle after that.

Alternatively, anywhere I could buy these types of containers?

    Thanks,

    Mick

I don't know if washing up liquid would be a great idea! That would sting like flip if you don't get it all out of the case. I'd go with anti-bacterial lanolin-free handwash if you're going to go ahead with reusing old lens cases. I'm not sure how advisable your idea is to be honest though... :/

Most solutions should come with a case. What type are you using? Make sure it's not just saline which won't actually disinfect your lenses.

On buying the cases, I've only ever seen the flat cases for sale.

Thanks for the responses. I got a flat style case which hadn't been used.

To be honest, I wouldn't skimp on changing cases.
If you get a nasty eye infection, as a result, the few quid saved will not be worth it!
