    Hi everybody,

I have a dummy (?) question here for you, the specialists...

How do an MCB (circuit breaker ) has to be wired under Irish legislation or common practice ?

After looking at my 80's cottage wiring, the supply comes from the bottom, but is it correct ?
In France, ( although it's a double MCB that cuts live and neutral), the supply always comes from the top.
After reading few English threads , some said that you can wire it whichever side.
    What's common practice here ?

    Thanks ! ;)

    Feed from bottom.

From the bottom, and as aurin07 said it makes it easier to connect outgoing circuits into the top.
