Been waiting on this to actually get announced for the last few months, was talked about before Christmas........this should be great....

    DME Presents

    W.A.S.P.
'30 Years Of Thunder' Anniversary Tour

    Vicar St, Dublin
    Tuesday 25th September 2012
    7pm

14+ Show - Under 18's accompanied by an adult

Tickets €30 including fees from www.ticketmaster.ie & outlets nationwide (on sale Friday 10th Feb @ 9am)

On September 21st 2012 W.A.S.P. will begin the “30 Years of Thunder” anniversary Tour starting in the United Kingdom and continuing worldwide!!

This World Tour will be the biggest spectacle W.A.S.P. have ever created. The two hour show will consist of three parts. The 1st one hour set contain songs from the first four albums. The second set will be a 25 minute shortened version of “The Crimson Idol” complete with the movie accompaniment. A third set will consist of material from the New Studio Album, older material and everything in between. This show will see multiple video screens, pyrotechnics, and elements from the early W.A.S.P. shows (maybe even an exploding cod piece) and Blackie’s moving microphone stand “Elvis”!

The “30 Years of Thunder” World Tour - This promises to be the Greatest W.A.S.P. Show Ever !!!

Well, multiple video screens and pyrotechnics seems a little extravagant for a venue the size of Vicar St. I'm curious as to how they'll pull that off.

I'm sure they could put on a decent pyro show in Vicar St......there's plenty of options for the video stuff, I'm sure it's gonna be a great show....

Scud - 2 hopes of that I think ;-) would be a shame to have the exploding codpiece and not play it though :-)

I know Blackie's feelings on playing it live but this is a 30th Anniversary tour, and Animal is a BIG part of WASP's history.

I'll always remember Donington '87 when they played it, had a topless woman on the rack, fcukin awesome it was too

Unlikely to play f*ck like a beast. With blackies born again beliefs

Tickets will be available on the door, priced €30. Think I'm going to make a late decision to head in to this.

Went along. Good night and a decent crowd. Not too unlike the last visit tbh. 3 video screens. No pyros. Enjoyable setlist. Mate suggested that Blackie looks like a cross between Ozzy and Nancy Wilson from Heart ;-)

Yep, decent gig, I thought. Was a little surprised at how good the crowd was, actually, as I had visions of a couple of hundred people being there, but the floor area was full without being packed. Only downside was getting stuck behind the tallest cnut in the room for a while! :) Good setlist (I enjoyed the Crimson Idol section a lot, despite not being too familiar with the album) and Blackie told a couple of good yarns as well.
