Lebanon’s security officials say a suspicious cargo containing huge amounts of US dollars, guns, special passports and credit cards have been seized upon arrival in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, from the US and Brazil.

Kinda obvious isn't it? Who, is the us or one of it's allies, trying to arm and fund secretly? Is it meant for a faction in Lebanon or perhaps another further inland?

The thing is, is this not an incredibly poor way to smuggle weapons and money? It seems like it's almost certain to be found out. Could it be a way to try and frame the US?

Nothing about this mentioned on any other news source, nothing on Lebanese news.

    PressTV with another "scoop".

Yes, because covertly overthrowing a government would be just too insane to believe.

This isn't a religious forum, I haven't the slightest interest in your "beliefs". I am interested in facts and truth. This story, so far, has neither.

It's a well known fact that Israel invaded Lebanon in 1982 and then tried again in 2006, both times failing.

The "intelligent" way to remove a regime from power is to do it from the inside by funding protesters and then attacking those protesters indiscriminately with snipers hidden on rooftops, then you get the media involved and try to isolate and demonize the regime you want ousted, report to the western audiences that the regime is killing the citizens.

Happened in Libya and Venezuela during attempted coup against Chavez (which the US government supported by the way)

You don't do it by force initially, you use covert methods and then when that fails, you send in the military.

Even if you had all the facts, you'd simply dismiss them anyway which only illustrates a high level of ignorance.

Ever heard of Gene Sharp? I wouldn't expect you to.

    Read his book http://www.aeinstein.org/organizations/org/FDTD.pdf

Video about Otpor who organize the revolutions.

No offence Jonny7, but you are not as well informed as you like to portray yourself.

This is a debate thread, why do you keep making assumptions about me personally?

The thread is dead because the story appears to be totally false. If you want to go and start
another thread on whatever it is you're talking about, go ahead.
