    Don't know how serious it is but there's a Thomas Cook circling around Lough Neagh for the last half hour burning off fuel (TCX24MR).

    Yeah i think it landed , the last time i'we seen it, it was at 600 ft.

    FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

    You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

    Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

    Why did the plane return to Belfast International? 30 mins into the fight - surely there were closer airports?

    Going by the FR24 tracks on the flight, it was nowhere near to 30 mins in to flight, try 5 maybe before it entered that holding pattern

    Can someone answer me this please.

    If this aircraft was 'dumping' fuel, why do it over a lake? Why not over the sea where it would be filtered away a lot easier??

    It was burning fuel not dumping it. A320 hasn't got a fuel dump.

    That's the ILS chart for R25 at Aldergrove, presumably he was flying the published hold to burn fuel rather than "dumping" it on purpose over a lake

    The ability to dump fuel is usually only available on widebodies. 737 and A320 family aircraft do not have the facility to dump so have to burn it if needs be

    So how do the 737's and 320's burn off fuel?

    Do they fly with wheels down and flaps engaged?

    Just fly. The other option is to land above the MLW and check the plane for damage.

    Exactly this, smaller aircraft such as A320 and 737 have no fuel jettison system, large twin engine A/C such as 767 and A330 usually do, how ever it was a customer request when ordering the aircraft.
    Large 3/4 engined planes such as md11 and 747 do have a fuel dumping system.
    The 757 does not because its max take off weight is very similar to its max landing weight, therefore its not required!
