The coilovers aren't a VW part im sure - you going to remove them? :D

no;) but, the skid plate covers 90% of the underside engine bay area, do they need to see up under the car?

i am sure some cars are equiped with them as standard.

    Regards

You'll be better taking it off as if you leave it on and they can't check the car as good they would like, you would probably be liable for the re-test fee as they will need to re-use equipment to test the car.

Thats my 2 cent anyway....may be totally wrong!

i know,i was saying it covers the same area as the OEM one,i wouldn't call them personally and i wouldn't remove it just drive it on and see.

Best of luck with it regardless.
