I've tried looking for this on the net but I haven't got anywhere. Is there a French bookshop in Dublin? and even more importantly, is there a newsagent's that specialises in French-language newspapers and magazines?

you will get one or two French newspapers in Easons on O Connell street. A few woemns amgazines as well. the internet would be the better option.

there is a Modern Languages shop on South Frederick Street )beside Tara Dart station. they have a few novels.

upstairs in Chapters are a few second hand french books.

all this is geared towards an Irish person learning French. if you are a French national then its difficult. english is the language and beyond a few phrases folks are not interested in learning foreign languages

It wasn't for me, I was asking for a school student (see the French language thread) whether it's possible to either buy or to order French-language newspapers and magazines in Dublin.

They could also try the Alliance Française. I've no idea what it's like but they have a library, so it'd definitely be worth a visit.
