Hi, posted this a while back before i had bought them here.

And since then i went and bought them, but i have been having some trouble putting them together. Its as if the sort of screw cap will not go far enough onto the receiver. So when i go to put the Ris system on it spins. I know its probably hard to understand what i mean. But i will post some pics up later.

    All replies appreciated.

I have no experience with this but it sounds like you're missing/forgetting a piece that should go into the rails which then attaches to the screw cap that attaches to the receiver, which should fix them together. not sure if i'm even on the right track

The screw cap thing, is in the middle of like this other thing that the screw go through and into the ris system. I know its very hard to understand, as im not quite sure how to explain it

Most free float kits have an installation tool - do you have one?

Depends what you mean by installation tool. nothing came with the rail system.

I'm not certain, as I have no direct experience with the Madbull DD rails...I just know that the likes of the G&P URX rails etc you need a specialised tool to install 'em.

I just had a look at the rail kit, and it looks like it's a simple case of put on the end cap of the rail kit onto the receiver (the thinner piece), then the barrel nut (there are slots in the barrel nut, which allow you to use a wrench tool to tighten it up as tight as it needs to go), then simply slot the RAS kit on over, and bolt to the end cap.

this is what i meant with putting the screw cap onto the receiver and then attaching the rails using the other piece except Kev here just explained it 10 times better :P

You will need this-its specially to fix the madbull RAS to G+P recievers(in which the ORIGINAL post you say you purchased)
    mb_tool_ddrgp_s.jpg Madbull
Madbull DD Rail Custom Barrel Nut
    # MB-TOOL-DDRGP
    (Available in ehobby also)

There is a tool for tightening it but a hammer and punch or something similar can be used to tighten it the last half thread

Your original thread suggests that this is the reciever you purchased G&P Magpul Vltor Type Metal Body for M4 AEG ???

One of them screws did come with the RIS. The thread does say it was that reciever but its acctully not. Which i did fail to notice. Its a Madbull Noveske Receiver. The Vltor one was out of stock when i was ordering. This is the one i have here.

If thats the case you should have compatable parts
The loose plate pictured goes on first-then push in the barrel and secure with the screw on part-then bolt the front rail to the loose part-if you cant get the barrel securing nut tight enough try cleaning the threads on both the reciever and inside of the barrel locking nut with a wire brush and apply a little grease-once its tightened all should be well -the barrell locking nut does not have to line up anywhere in particular-if you still cant get it fully tight try and get thin auminium washers or a large plumbers typr fibre washer and place them insideMADBULL-MK18DD125-BK_4_mark.jpg

If i put washers on the inside would that not leave the extetnal barrell lose? If will the washers be able to keep it in place?
    Thanks for explaining really appreciated

They would be on the inside of the locknut but on the outside of the barrel if you get my drift-helping to tighten down the barrel into the reciever. You could also work the lock nut on and off the reciever without the barrel to help the fitment,ie: when its tight squeeze it maybe an 1/8 to 1/4 turn further -loosen and repeat etc....
