Redundancy Calculations?

    Hi,

Looking for a bit of info, hope someone might be able to help!

Found out last week that I will be made redundant at the end of this month. I understood that redundancy payments are based on 2 weeks of my current weekly wage for each year of service. However, when I asked about this I was told that because I was part-time for 5 of my 7 and a half years that it will not be based on my current wage rate? Is this correct?

It's been a while since I dealt with this but I'm fairly sure it's your average weekly wage over the 26 weeks prior to being made redundant.

There's a provision where if you received a paycut in the run up to your redundancy but actively registered your disagreement with the paycut, they use your pay as if it was at its full rate.

Have you been working full or part time most recently?

Edit: This should answer some of your queries:

    Thanks for your help.

My pay wasn't cut and I've been on a full time basis for over 2 years now so I'm pretty sure my current wage will be used for the calculation.
