    Hi all
Currently having a problem with chrome and ie - the font in both has changed for some unknown reason to all italics. This is very annoying I have spent ages looking for solutions eg tools>options>font which does not change anything or am i missing something?

I would greatly appreciate any help.

firefox 8.0 to 10.0 no longer had that bug and 10.0 runs really smooth and uses alot less memory than older versions did.

Try deleting your Chromes profile (make sure you backup your bookmarks first!) by following this advice.
This resets the browser to "factory defaults" so should solve it, alternatively use the non spyware type Chrome SRWare Iron (reccomended action).

Have you been using a font navigator of any kind? Had this happen after using the font navigator in COrel. I had to uninstall it and then update my browser (Firefox) and then done a shutdown and restart, seemed to fix the problem.

Sounds like the SRIron download was corrupt, try re-downloading. It sounds to me like Chrome may be pulling the font settings from some system setting on the computer (I think you managed to delete the profile and when the folder remained you tried to delete what was already deleted if you get me, so windows shows that error), go into control panel>Region & Language settings and make sure English UK/ireland is set for all items.

Did all that - played around with control panel and installed SRIron sucessfully but that's in complete italics to.Maybe i'm not technically minded enough but this is problem is very frustrating.

Trying that stuck on step 3:"Right-click on "Fntcache.dat" in the right pane of the Windows Explorer window and choose "Delete." Click the "Yes" button to confirm the deletion."

I don't have .dat files listed there just .dll

Im running windows starter if that helps.

Make sure view hidden files is ticked:
In windows explorer (ie My Comupter) tap the alt key once. The file menu should appear: tools>Folder Options>View and tick "show hidden files and folders", then delete the font cache file & reboot
