As the title suggests does anyone know if you can register to do a FAS course while employed?

I'm on a temperory contract and would really like to do the online java course (as its like E1700 to do it yourself) but dont know if I have to be fully unemployed to register.

    Any suggestions?

    Yes, you can.

But you will have to pay for it. I think the rates are less than the commercial rates though.

I find out as much details as possible about this course. I would ring revenue and explain about this course as you may be able to claim some tax back on the cost of this course.

Ok cool, i was sure i say a registration fee on it before of like E120 which must be for non-welfaree's. I'll pop in wednesday and see if i can do it!

You have to pop in anyways to register for the course, so it's best just to ask there- ring in advance some employment offices you need an appointment for..

Some courses are restricted to those who are long term unemployed, but these are rare. The online course is unlikely to be it.

If you explain that you're on a temporary contract to them they may be able to help..
