Can anybody please tell me if bus services operate from Nenagh to Woodenbridge in Co.Wicklow and back?? I can't find anything on the internet, and it is not listed at all on getthere.ie.

    Thanks in advance.

Not easy - fastest route is via Dublin I'm afraid. Only two buses a day in either direction between Wicklow and Arklow that go via Woodenbridge.

    Bus Eireann:

    Route 12 to Dublin
Route 2 to Wicklow or Arklow
    Route 133 to Woodenbridge

Probably easier to get the 2 to Arklow and then a taxi to Woodenbridge.

You can buy a ticket from Nenagh to Arklow online at www.buseireann.ie

There is no centre of population in Woodenbridge, it's basically a hotel a filling station and a golf course. Best bet would be train/bus to Dublin and then train/bus to Arklow with a taxi to Woodenbridge. There is a very limited BE service from Arklow/Wicklow. http://www.buseireann.ie/pdf/1326189473-133.pdf

Bejasus.Sounds very daunting and also very costly.

I've sponsored a horse at the IHWT sanctuary in Woodenbridge, the sanctuary itself is at a place called Ballinamona, and I can't even find that on a map.

Worse again, the horse sanctuary is off the road to Aughrim, in a hilly forested area, real pioneer territory and I don't mean the non drinking type. :)

    Oh dear.....

I'm wonderin now if tis all worth it-I've already mentioned on other threads how bad I am at travelling and how terrible me sense of direction is,and that would probably worry me even more than the cost itself.I think I'll just ask them to send news, photos and maybe even a dvd to me instead and explain why I can't visit.

But at least I'm pretty sure that I'll still be going to the donkey sanctuary in Liscarroll anyway because that all seems straightforward enough.

Thanks a million for all the info, guys. ;-)

    From Arklow Station's Facebook page:
Aughrim Cabs run daily bus services between Arklow and Aughrim. Services depart from outside the Bottle Shop on the Vale Road. For further information Aughrim Cabs can be contacted on (0402) 36700 or (086) 8525553

No idea what trains they connect with but might be worth giving them a call just to see?

There's other taxi companies in the area too, detailed here:

You should be able to view it even if you're not on Facebook.
