How to become a driving instructor

    Hey guys,

I'm just wondering if any of the seasoned instructors posting in here could offer some advice on becoming a driving instructor?

I passed my test a few years ago and really love driving, and I naturally have a lot of patience. I'm stuck in an office job in my twenties and I'd love to make a start at being my own boss, so I'm just wondering what the situation is like out there at the minute.

I'm sure it's expensive/time-consuming to get qualified, but is there much work available once you're on the road?

    Cheers!

If you have a job at the moment, KEEP IT! There are lots of instructors who spent redundancy money on setting up as driving instructors and are not making a good living during this recession.

i agree with ADI Driving, Driving instruction is a flooded industry, very difficult to make a living out off, it is going just like the taxi business that way, stay where you are mate for now
