I've been buying dvds from play.com for years but recently have tried to order and it won't let me complete it. At checkout this message appears: Items cannot be delivered outside the UK. Tried the FAQ & also contacted them & all I got advised was to put price in euros, which it already was! Arghhhh!!! Anyone have problems with them lately? I noticed they have now been totally taken over by Rakuten & site is slightly different.

No problem here. I can go all the way to place order without any issue.

I went on to play.com to buy an Irish rugby jersey. It was advertised on the site for €29.99 yet once it went into the cart it was €74.49 I got in contact with their customer service to bring it to their attention After a few emails back and forth it was amended and i purchased it. This was on the 15th of April. Now, eight days later on the 23rd i get a mail sating that the item is no longer available? This is an extremely bad way of treating customers and is extremely bad on play.com’s part

The only reason I can think of when it would display that message is when you try to order electronics to Ireland. As play.com don't ship elecs outside of the UK. I've ordered loads of DVDs and BluRays on play.com and never had a problem. I always order from a third party seller though as their customer service is dire. Zoverstocks, FTrading and the like are brill and I love the way everything is free delivery :)
