I'm going to have one day next week-end to drive around at my pleasure and take photos around Killarney.
I know of all the touristy scenery spots, so will have to decide on a route this week, but was thinking possibly some posters on here may know of less well known spots between/near Killarney/Kenmare/Caherciveen ? These are the areas I plan on driving near.

Since I've only one day I want to do a variety of things, don't really want to stick to the one spot, so I'm going mostly for easy locations where you can hop out the car, shoot for a while, and head on again. Also, I just really like to drive around scenic places, so I'll be indulging in that as well as taking pictures.

I could also totally change my mind and just wander around Muckross all day, but as I said, any suggestions will be very welcome. :)
    Thanks !

Torc waterfall or out to molls gap , Kate Kearneys cottage. Black Glen. Or the opposite way to the conor pass.

Thanks for that Tatranska, I think I'm going to decide depending on the weather, if it's drizzly-foggy, I might have better visibility nearer the sea... if it's bright enough, I'll explore Molls Gap and Kate Kearneys first.

Try Aghadoe Heights for an early morning view of the lakes. The Black Valley (can be hard to find) is also well worth the trip. The drive up the BV also allows you to drive over the gap of Dunloe from the south (you are stopped from doing so from the other side).

I'm from Dublin and even I know were the BV is :D

You could also go out to Brandon point...its the opposite direction though.
There is also the lake at Annascull....its nice up there.

Thanks both, I think I'll find the Black Valley, was going to rule it out because of that Gap of Dunloe thing of not being very driver friendly. I like to be able to stop in places obviously.
Will look up Annascull and Brandon Point too.
I love planning and plotting where to go, even if things might turn out quite differently on the day. And knowing where some good spots are is always useful for a return trip anyway (I have only one day there !).
