Had an NCT fail on the Suspension test on the Front Axle it reads:

Front Axle Nearside: 34mm Offside: 55mm Imbalance: 38%

The guy mentioned that he saw no leaks or cracks?? in the shocks

So im wondering firstly any quick easy fix that might save me getting new shocks or wether incorrect tyre pressure might have caused this as I threw a bit of air into the tyres before going into the centre and may not have been paying attention so good

On other hand whats the damage to fix this the legit way i.e. new shocks

Incorrect tyre pressures can effect the suspension test but not to the tune of 38%.

Shocks don't have to be leaking to be damaged. The damage can be internal.

Any idea on replacement cost for both. Presuming both need to be replaced

In here 114 each, so €228 for the set + fitting.

However it seems they have horrendous mark-up on them, as f.e. you have the same product here in Polnad for 190zl which is about €45.

you can get the shocks in motor factors in around 90 euro each, to fit them - in around 40 euro each ( regular workshop, not main dealer)
