Gearbox overhaul??

Any suggestions as to the best place for a 2002 civic type R 6 speed?
I'm in Galway and found a place in Dublin called MrGearboxMrClutch. They quoted me €1000 plus vat (so around 1200 I think) that's for a full gearbox rebuild and replacement of everything needed with a warranty on their work. plus they have all the parts in stock so no waiting weeks for parts to come in.
Anybody know of the place? Any good? Or an alternative?

    Thanks

They are well known over this way alright. I've never used them but haven't heard anything bad either.

would it not be cheaper just to source a second hand box with warranty?

I can't find any that come with a warranty. And the only ones I can find are all in the UK. Unless I'm looking in all the wrong places.

Rebuilding a gearbox will cost alot of money. It would be far cheaper to just get one s/h from the scrappy. Sure it won't have the warranty but sure how often do manual gearboxes give trouble - rarely. I'd ask myself was it really worth it to spend 1200 on a 10 year old civic. I wouldn't personally.

Unless of of course your in the habit of doing burnouts and general abuse.:D
