I'm 19 and have chicken pox, and they are driving me mad!! I first started feeling unwell on Wednesday, got a couple of spots on Thursday, more on Friday and woke up Saturday morning with loads. I have gone through a whole night of not sleeping and the itch is driving me crazy.

What I'm looking for is not Medical advice, but rather an estimate of how long these spots will be with me for. Some have started crusting over, blisters on most. I have a very, very important exam in 3 weeks-please tell me they should be gone by then!!:(:(:(:(:(:(

If they've started crusting & blistering they'll be gone by the end of the week.

If you have a bathtub take a lukewarm bath with oatmeal in it to alleviate the itch.

...Thought id write in this thread instead of opening new one...

..Im 26 and just got the chicken pox...they are horrible to say the least...Just a couple of questions...

If anyone has had them as an adult, could you tell me if you had any problems with your eyes...My eyes are stinging me, and find it hard to keep them open...I have a few around my eyes and worried it will get worse...

Also, my girlfriend had had the chicken pox as a child. Everyone says you cant get them twice...But is it possible for her to carry them and pass them on to a child that hasn't had them before..

    Thanks for any answers..
    Liam..

If you're concerned about your eyes go to your GP/ an out of hours doctor. Your sight is so important, if you have reason for concern act on it. We're not allowed give medical advice on here
