so the russians are protesting for fair elections again, putin just barely won the last one, but supposedly he cheated in some way, (personally if i cheated id wanna win comfortably just incase something went wrong) does anyone think its just idiotic to be out in sub-zero temperature protesting something 99.4% dont care about,

ive never seen the point in protesting unless you can get a large section of scoiety to join you, especially if your doing it in 20 below zero,

theres 120,000 russians protesting which is a fraction of a percent of there 140 million plus population,

If you look at the development of any prolonged protest they start small and grow. The rate of growth is what normally indicates the likelihood of long term success.

I don't get this mentality you are showing...which basically seems to be no matter how important something actually is to you, you wouldn't do much about it unless other people cared as well.

You don't think 100,000+ people protesting matters? My mind boggles at what you think is required. You're saying if everybody else isn't doing it you wouldn't? No offense but it's like you're wearing the fact you're a sheep as a badge of honour.

Thats a huge step for that country, Putin has been accused of murdering journalists and dissidents. Russia is not really a democracy they still in a way always had Czars even their communist leaders ended up as a czar. Putin is another Czar.

So if the people want accountable democracy I say this will be the roots of that movement. I wish them well, I don't think another country has suffered as much as the Russians with their various despots through the centuries.

I thought it interesting the agonizing murder of Litvinenko in london. To buy that amount of polonium, which was used to poison him, on the market would cost 20 million dollars.

Now that was Putin making a statement.

Its very good, but it seems to put a positive stance on Putin so far I have only seen the first and half the second one.

I just wonder what changed the father's heart.

They must have been very persuasive.
