    Hello,

Having a Paragon alarm, trying to change the user code.
Following the manual, pressing button by button as per instructions, but no joy ! Is going fine up to a point where the manual says that i shall hear two bleeps...but no beeps coming !!
So,press master code, then shift+4,then master code and ...two bleep but no bleeps at all (good or bad) !?

Also,is there any point in running a health check on the system OR buy another one / upgrade the wiring or the central unit !?
Alarm there since purchased the house, long time ago...

    Any help,appreciated !

Might not be the same manual I have but it says up arrow 5 is the master not , not 4. Does it just say Paragon alarm?

    CHANGING USER CODE
Enter up arrow 5 then User code - 3 Bleeps
then New user code - 3 Bleeps
then New user code again - 3 Bleeps
The ‘day’ led will flash when this function is entered and an acknowledge tone will be sounded after each code has been entered. If an incorrect key is entered an error tone will be given and the function ended.

    Thank altor !

Is a Vectra panel, rebadged from Paragon base unit !

There is the how to from manual, not doing the bleeps, but doing the flashing day LED:

    8 MASTER USER FACILITIES
The Master User has access to all the Limited User facilities as well as those listed
    below.
**The Paragon Super control panel has to be in ‘day’ mode after resetting with the
Master code for these additional features to be accessed.**
    1) Resetting alarm LED after an Activation
    To clear flashing Alarm LED
Enter Master User (Factory set as 1234)
or Limited User (Factory set as 5678)
    2) Changing Limited User Code
    Enter
then Master User code - 2 Bleeps (Factory set as 1234)
then New Limited user code - 2 Bleeps
then New Limited user code again - 2 Bleeps
The ‘day’ led will flash when this function is entered and an acknowledge tone will be
sounded after each code has been entered. If an incorrect key is entered an error
tone will be given and the function ended.
    RINS 061 issue1 1 1
    3) Changing Master Code
    Enter
then Master User code, - 2 Bleeps (Factory set as 1234)
then New Master User code, - 2 Bleeps
then New Master User code. - 2 Bleeps
Errors tones as in 2) above.

Here is a link to the makers site. There is another manual off this system so maybe that might help. I am wondering if your installer has you set up so you can change the code. I would give them a ring and they might talk you through doing this over the phone.
