    Hi All,

Could I get advice from people?

My vehicle was parked on a public street overnight, the following morning I find that someone has sparyed a graffiti tag on the side.
Gardai say noting can be done and look at other places to park (Its the city centre), I was talking to local shop keepers and they say that there is a national claims service as it happened on a public street and wasnt my fault.

Has anyone heard of this? or any good advice on what i could do?

    Thanks

Graffiti can be removed. Post a photo and I'll be able to advise more.

National claims service for malicious damage ? I'm intrigued!

I'll wager the miscreants were caught on some CCTV or other..!

Maybe Tardis or a claybar might remove the paint?

You're wasting your time mate, do you really think there'll be any kind of investigation or you'll be in any way compensated?

I parked my car overnight in (Dublin) city centre a while back and a wing mirror was hanging off it the next morning, wish I could make a claim for it but I can't, it's no ones problem but my own.

Abit of light compounding will remove it. Buy compound in any motor factors or maybe some spirits for cleaning paintbrushes?

Thanks for all the advice guys, I found a bit of white spirts and used ALOT of elbow grease and removed most of it. You can still see a bit of it but better than it was.

He was probably referring to the MIBI but they only deal with traffic accidents where the person who caused the accident is uninsured or can't be identified.
The Motor Insurers’ Bureau of Ireland was established in 1955 by an Agreement between the Government and the Companies underwriting motor insurance in Ireland for the purpose of compensating victims of road traffic accidents caused by uninsured and unidentified vehicles.
