New Car Help Needed

    Sorry I'm back again. I'm still in 2 minds about what to do about a new car. Story is, I had a 1.4 petrol that has run its course so looking to upgrade. Budget of about 4k, do about 400/450 miles per week on average. Was looking at a 2.0 litre Mondea (05), 1.9 Passat (04) or a 1.9/2.0 litre Octavia/Suburb - all diesel. I'm been told different things from every angle and cant make up my mind what to do: "don't buy a Ford", "diesel isnt worth it anymore with the price now", "stick with a petrol, cheaper tax etc".

    Has anyone any advice please. Need to make a decision asap and would be grateful for any help.

    ps, have viewed and drove 2 2005 Mondeos lately and they seem like a lovely car
