Change in TRS on mortgage

Not sure if this is the right place to post but I'll give it a shot.

I bought my first house in June of 2005. It's owner occupied and I still live here. Up until January 1st I was getting about €170 in tax relief at source on my mortgage (which is fixed interest :( until June 2012). My understanding was that the TRS is available for 7 years after purchase of the house.

Today I checked my bank balance and in February I only got €37.50. I've had a look on some other forums and can see other people are having the same problem.

I was just wondering if anyone here can confirm which of these 2 are the most likely reasons its been cut so drastically. Is it because they are still figuring out the higher ceiling for TRS and I will get the balance backdated or is it because the "7 year" is a calender year and even though its not exactly 7 years since I bought, 2012 is 7 years after 2005 and therefore I am no longer entitled to the higher amount (God I hope its not this one!!)

Any help or advice really appreciated. Thanks.

You have moved from 10k ceiling to 3k ceiling. You should be getting 30% relief though so would have thought you could actually be due €75 a month relief.
