    Hi Folks,
I just fitted a 4 sensor reversing assistance kit to my ix35 CRDi and need to take a feed (12v) from the reversing light circuit which is activated when I select reverse.
I find the reversing lights are on the end of the boot lid which makes picking up a feed from there awkward. Where would I get a wiring diagram for an Hyundai ix35 crdi ....other than Haynes who don't seem to have one for that model. Anyone have any ideas?

Just use a multi meter. It's a tool worth having . I can link to tutorials should you need them.

The reverse light in the rear cluster makes the most sense as it doesn't move like a boot door. That's assuming your placing the sensor in the rear bumper.

Wiring diagram not really needed as it can all be worked out as not much bar bulbs and pump in that part of the car.

should be handy enough to check the colour of the wires coming from the cluster on the boot door, following it up to where it joins the body at the top of the roof.

I'd assume the loom runs up from one of the body clusters to the roof for the boot door electrics.

    Hi folks,
bit the bullet today and it was not as daunting a task as it first appeared. The conduit/trunking passing from the top of the boot door to the body was nice and pliable and came apart easily.....I also opened the inspection doors for the reversing light/brake light bulbs, and it was pretty black and white ....literally, that`s the color code of the reversing light bulb cables. I have used those "Macintosh connectors" before and they worked well without cutting/stripping/soldering....they just crimp closed to form connection between an existing circuit and the new one. On a new car ye don't like tampering, but the Hyundai reversing kit cost €800 as an extra where this will cost me €30. Thanks for the help folks......Happy Days!

Send me the link anyways Jimmy.....I`m always interested in such info.... thanks. I have a multimeter even have an old analog Avometer......its just that I`m more familiar with an industrial environment than an auto-electrical one.
