    Hi folks,

Have any of you ever heard of this crowd?

    http://www.eztrack.ie/pay-as-you-use/eztrack-200/

I was listening to TodayFM this morning and they were putting trackers into glass bottles to be floated out at sea, and I thought it would be the right job to fit to my bike.

At least your bike is stolen, you can tell the guards exactly where it's sitting.

I've no idea if they work though.

Are trackers in general even any use at all?

    Thoughts?

A tracker is a GPS device that contains a sim card.
Some send out text messages every so often with coordinates
which you view on Google maps.Others only send it out when you text it.

Unless it joy riders the vast majority of criminals know about trackers and either park it in a multi story for several days or carry GSM blockers. If the bike, or more usually car, is expensive then a lot of insurance companies insist on having trackers fitted.

like the Del said ....30$ china made gsm blocker will render this device useless. if you need i would go for cheap ebay one which does the same thing for fraction of the cost http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Realtime-GPS-GSM-GPRS-Tracker-TK102-/320756524519?pt=UK_AudioTVElectronics_GPSSystems_GPSSystems&hash=item4aae9425e7#ht_3751wt_1187
