    hi,

i have recently been given some money as a gift and have left it aside so i can use it when i hopefully go back to college in the future.

i was given just over 1k (in euros) and obviously i need to tell the social welfare as i am unemployed and receive benefits.

will the 1k affect my current social welfare payments of 96euros a week? are there any forms i need to fill out or do i just walk into the social welfare office and tell them i was gifted some money and would like to leave it in my bank account so it will help me when i go back to college in the future (hopefully this year or next year).

    thanks.
