Hi folks some advice needed please.

For my Passat, would the VW blue tooth kit integrated with steering controls, which will be fitted by my main dealer be a better option than the parrot mki9200, which seems to have alot of praise on here and elsewhere?

    Thanks

Is the VW one the rebranded Bury c9060? If calls are it's main use then I'm sure it will be fine. Plus full integration and it's ability to read text messages are handy while driving.

The Parrots main selling point is the music playback over other kits. It covers all bases and does it well.

Does the bury model play music at all? Guy in the garage said it did but he didn't sound very sure of himself!

If it's the factory system, it's a pretty good system. If it's the VW branded Bury kit, the guys who fit our kits think it's a pile of dirt (and he's just fitted around 200 of them).

If you are specifying a new Passat put the Bluetooth Entry system in (€294) and if you want to play music from your mp3 player then either the MDI @ €168 or if you have an I-Pod then the "MOBILE DEVICE INTERFACE FOR iPOD ONLY" @ €195.

Costs a bit more than a 9200i, but integrates with steering wheel controls and the central display (in between the rev counter and speedo).
