Barebone systems

Excuse my total ignorance,

I am looking at barebone systems on scan.co.uk the following looks interesting

From looking at the Technical spec I cannot make out what this system has and hasn't. I have a 1tb newish sata HD, KB, mouse and screen. Will I need a videocard etc?

Also what do people think of the included components?

Edit: I should have added I only need this PC for browsing, a little bit of netflix and other streaming. No gaming and any graphic intensive stuff..

Its got a case, power supply and motherboard. You'd need to add a CPU + Optical drive. No need for a graphics card if its just for streaming.

However that one is a bit of a ripoff, you'd be better off getting the parts separately.

Saw this on overclockers and thought it was a good price . The CPU has certainly been recommended on this forum in the past just wondering about the mobo . As said I have a couple of hd's and an optical drive.

The CPU gets recommended because it's so cheap but still as Sandy Bridge dual core.
The main thing I'd be worried about there is the PSU as it could be made by anyone.

Maybe something like this with the G530...

I am looking at ordering the build Monotype put together as above but cant link to the Mobo he mentioned I wonder is this similar and compatible?

I think that one took my favour because it has usb 3 and 4 RAM slots. It also had HDMI + VGA + DVI connectors which others didn't have so not a bad low budget board at all.

Any other h61 motherboard would do, the cheapest being €43.

Let's see what else they have...

The good features is that it has USB 3 and SATA 6Gbps which is very advantageous if you got a SSD later on. There's no HDMI though and there's also no PCI slot if you want to carry older cards to the system.

Much appreciated Monotype. Having hdmi and dvi would be very useful. While sata 6gbps would be useful to have for the future, ssd are still expensive in this cheap build. I have looked at the other h61 boards they don't have the nice combination of hdmi and dvi from what I can see.

Scan delivery is reasonable so to get the original board I will look at this route. Or maybe komplett and I can do collection.

Komplett have free delivery now anyway, so it's actually not bad when you consider that.
