I was in the post office this morning, A teenage girl who was in front of me sending an international parcel was asked for her PPS number, She said she didnt know it or have it with her, the woman in the post office gave her back the parcel and told her to come back with her Pps card.

I regularly send packages internationally and I've never been asked for my PPS number - are you sure you picked up the whole story?
