Black dress - Skin-color tights, black shoes?

    Hi guys,

I'm heading out to a semi-formal restaurant tonight and found a black dress in H and M. It's got small skin-tight sleeves that come down just off the shoulder which I will cover with a white balero-type cardi. The dress itself bunches toward the left to create a few folds to the left. It is quite plain so I am wearing a long chain with it (silver and gold).

I have black suede heels and skin-color tights.

Can anyone tell me if this is too black? Or if I should wear beige patent leather heels instead?

    Thanks

It's not too black at all OP, especially as you are wearing skin coloured tights.

You could wear nude colour heels as well, but personally, I would go for black, but that's just me.

Black or nude shoes would look gorgeous with it.

Nope, not too black, I think it sounds pretty elegant. I'd wear black shoes too.

Thanks so much for the advice guys.

I'll go with the black suede heels (because the beige ones are a little higher and possibly risqué for the occasion, given that we're expecting snow in the area tonight!)

    Thanks again
