Flew with Singapore Airlines to Indonesia last year, they were decent and the pretty cheap.

was about 100 euros in the difference between them and China Airlines for the two of us.

I've heard awful stories about Air Asia.

Indonesia is a big country, where are you going to? KLM fly to Bali codesharing with Aer Lingus. There is no direct flight but your one-stop options from Dublin to Jakarta include Emirates, Etihad, Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines.

If you're looking for a cheap choice and are willing to make your own way to London there is Royal Brunei Airlines which is suppose to be very cheap. There is also Garuda from Amsterdam if you can make your own way there...

KLM is a nice service and usually a reasonable price. Flew Dublin - Jakarta in 2007 for about 750 return.

As for Air Asia, never used their transatlantic service but around Asia I've used it about 6 times and its one of the best airlines I've ever flown. Staff are so nice, the planes are mostly new and it's so cheap.

I've heard awful stories about Air Asia.

I've flown both KL-Brisbane (Coolangatta) and long-haul KL-Stansted with them and though they're not a full service operator, I'd rate them above Air France, Continental & Delta for overall quality and comfort.
