    Hi everyone,

i'm interested in joining/ starting a rock band. having played and performed with both cover and originals bands i'm now looking to launch a new project or join an existing group. i have a fine bunch of ideas and riffs that i've gathered over the years and never got to explore fully with my previous bands. i like jamming in an environment where everyone gets a chance to contributes his ideas and maintain a fine team spirit. open to various genres, i like bands such as pink floyd, radiohead, pearl jam, U2, red hot chili peppers, arcade fire, the editors, guns'n roses and many more.

to expand a bit more on myself, i'm in my early 30s and do not have any particular preferences with regards to the age bracket. i've been playing guitar for more than 10 years now and still try to develop as a musician whenever i can. my favourite guitarists are david gilmour, slash, john frusciante, jimmy page and the edge. i'm not too mad about the "speed of light" solos and like when guitars integrate nicely with the rest of the band without overshadowing the other group members.

i'd be looking for people that can commit themselves to the "once a week jam" routine. disillusioned with the rock'n roll dream i wanna treat it as a hobby rather than means of making money or career. i live in the outskirts of dublin so it shouldn't be a problem with any potential jams in and around the city.

give me a shout if ur interested

    jacek

Hi Jack, I really like the sound of what you've got planned - very relaxed, no pressure. My name's Dave. I'm 36 and I've been playing guitar since I was a teenager. I've played in metal bands, rock bands and I've also done some covers. Like yourself I write a lot of riff and stuff and would like to jam some of that material out as well as work on some of your own stuff. I'm a huge Radiohead, Pearl Jam and EELS fan as well as lots of other stuff - all kinds really.
I also live on the outskirts of Dublin (Ashbourne) and I am available to jam once a week no problem.

    Let me know, man.

    Dave
